The Peggy Wood Foundation Shop

There is a shop in Maidstone where the good work that Mrs Wood began over thirty years ago continues today. It is the Peggy Wood Foundation Shop. Generous donations from the people of Maidstone and its surrounding area, include: old postcards, jigsaws and board games, cassette tapes, video tapes and 'talking books', vinyl LPs, 45s and even 78s, as well as the more recent CDs, DVDs and Blu Ray films and software. There is a variety of games for PC, Playstation and X-Box. Paperback and hardcover books - fiction for children and adults, books about cars and cookery, books about crime and chemistry, books about travel and tapestry, there are maps to travel around British counties or the Canadian Rockies. There's furniture and glassware, crockery and ornaments, lampshades and table lamps, photo frames and picture frames, clothes for women, men, children and for just dressing up in. There's handbags and belts, furniture and curtains, rugs and wraps. This is a shop you won't want to leave in a hurry; it is a shop for browsers, a shop you can afford, a shop for everyone.
